Delete your YouInspect account

You can permanently delete your YouInspect account and the data stored with it at any time. Deletion can’t be undone.

Delete it in the app

The quickest way — it happens right away.

Open the YouInspect app (iPhone or Android) and sign in.
Open the menu and tap Settings.
Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
Enter your password, type DELETE, and confirm.

On a computer, the same steps work on youinspect.ai after you sign in.

Or ask us by email

No longer have the app, or can’t sign in? Email support@youinspect.ai from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my YouInspect account.” We’ll confirm it’s you and delete the account and its data.

What is deleted

Your sign-in account, profile, and profile photo.
Your contacts, notifications, blocked-people list, and settings.
Your saved inspection reports and photos, from your account and from that device.
Groups you created, with their conversations, invite links, and shared reports.
Reports you shared into other people's groups, and invite links you created.

What is kept, and for how long

Messages you already sent in other people's groups stay visible to those members. You are removed from those groups.
Reports of abuse you filed, or that were filed about you, are kept so we can review them and keep the community safe.
Payment records held by our payment providers (Stripe and Apple) are kept by them as tax and accounting rules require.
Deleted information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time until it is overwritten through our ordinary retention practices, and we may keep information where the law requires it.
